Hi. I enjoyed listening to some of your oration on aging,-to age or not to age. I must admit I didn't listen to all of it because, at my age of 70, I wondered if there would be enough time left in my life. 'chuckle'
Congrats on your lack of fear of aging! I'm not afraid, but;
I walked down the hill to the creek on a Monday of 1986 to do some gold panning. When I got to the creek, I found I had forgotten my pan so I walked back up the hill and got my pan then walked back down the hill and (guess what?)found I had left the shovel in the pickup so I walked back up the hill and got the shovel and then walked back down the hill, panned for gold for three hours and walked briskly back up the hill and drove home. No sweat.
I walked down the same hill last Thursday and remembered I had forgotten the shovel. I knew immediately I could do quite well without the shovel (and my cell phone that I had forgotten, too) so I made do with what I had with me. (I forgot my lunch, too, but need to lose some weight anyhow) When I finished prospecting a few hours later, I was happy that (because I hadn't made the two extra trips up and down the hill) I was able to walk back up the hill gingerly, only stopping once on the way to catch my breath.
I, too, have no regret of aging. -until I start up a hill!
I sure would like to know how to post sound on my blog. Will you tell me how you do it? I was going to put some music on my Memoriam to Lt General Maude who died in the raid on the Pentagon but couldn't figure out how to do it. And I couldn't find anyone who had time to tell me. Come and see me. Or you could send it in an e-mail at: jcadla@sbcglobal.net Thanks in advance. Jim (Great articles)
